  • The Mormons are very down to earth. Their leaders are just part of the neighborhood and are NOT glorified idols. I'm an atheist, but I respect the Mormons a great deal. They are kind and helpful and honorable. I've even had discussions with them about my beliefs and they were very accepting.

They are very practical people and when the world runs into serious trouble they will be prepared to help themselves AND to help others at the same time. They won't need our help.

  • @JDastrup13 I'm sorry you just can't see past the suits and grandeur of architecture, music and pomp. The lure of self righteous grandiose and 'warm fuzzy feelings' to tell you that you are a part of the one true church on earth. Looks and feels lovely doesn't it. Can't imagine a prettier package of deception.

Luke 11:35: Take heed therefore that the light which is in thee be not darkness.

  • @manderbos you know what. I feel that this is not going to end up well if we keep going at it. I am happy to hear that you are a Christian! We need dedicated Christians in this world! I hope that you will live to your full potential as a Christian. I don't mean any harm to you, but I just want you to know that the LDS Church and it's members teach good, wholesome things. We are Christians and we worship God and his Son Jesus Christ and strive to follow them in whatever we do.

  • @JDastrup13 Excuse me, I have more to say but I want to watch Shawn McCraney live on his web site now. You should watch, he only presents the facts about Mormonism. "Facts" by the way = truth.

  • @JDastrup13 Well if it is true then why is everyone else trying so hard to get you guys to see the truth. Jesus is the only High Priest, Truth, Word, Almighty God. You cannot trust your feelings over facts. No one I know has a vendetta against Mormonism. But we cannot understand with all the evidence or in the case of the BOM non existent evidence. that you cannot see through the lies. I pray that the real Holy Spirit, which is God's Spirit can open your eyes to see Truth.

  • @manderbos Oh trust me. The light that is in me is not darkness. It is Holy Ghost. Have you ever tried reading the Book of Mormon and asking God if it is true. I know that if you do, you will know it is true which makes the LDS religion true.

  • @JDastrup13 Exactly, he doesn't prophesy. Just recites the same old good advice anyone can give. Secondly, their is nothing Christian about Mormon doctrine. The only thing that is positive is the push for family life and good works. But even that is tainted with Mormon motives. "Let's get this straight", you do not have a personal relationship with Jesus nor can you worship him, like Christians do. Because Mckonkie says you can't.

  • @manderbos Let's get this straight. The LDS Church is Christian. We worship God and his Son, our Savior, Jesus Christ. President Monson proclaims truths that help us in this troubled world. He teaches us repentance throght Jesus Christ's sacrifice and what will make us successful and happy in not only this life, but in the life to come where we will be able to live with God again based on our actions and whether we accept the Atonement or not.

  • @JDastrup13 I know because Mormonism is not Christianity. Because if he was having a conversation with God, Monson would not be a Mormon anymore. But at last, he does not have ears to hear. Besides, if he was a great prophet as you claim, what has he prophesied? All these years, has he spoken anything new, no. Just repeating the same old stories and false teaching of Joseph. And how do I know it's false, because it contradicts the Bible.

  • @manderbos How can you be so quick to say that you know he doesn't talk directly with Jesus Christ. I and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I am 16 years old. I know that President Monson communicates directly with God and Jesus Christ. I know this is true through the Holy Ghost which had manifested it to me. I also speak directly to God when I pray to him and he does answer my prayers. President Monson is a true and living Prophet of God.

  • @kf1000 Sounds like you are a Mormon to me. Funny thing is, Jesus said they(the world) will hate you because they hated Me. But here is this supposed Athiest and he is singing the praises of Mormons. They want the world to love them and that is why you only see what they want you to see.

Personally, I think Monson knows the church is a scam because Mormon presidents are supposed to have one on one talks with Jesus, and I know he does not.
