This is one of my favorite albums EVER! The John Cougar album just has a feel to it. An Almost Bob Seger feel, This is John at his BEST!

Good stuff. Good, original post. I didn't mind when he got political, either. I think he just followed his soul. Definitely dug this album, though.

Truly a great song and it tugs at my heart strings when I hear it now. This song was a favorite of mine and my best friend. He and I werebig fans of Mellencamp and anytime we were riding the roads we would play Sugar Marie over and over. I lost that friend back in December 2010. Nowdays when I hear a Mellencamp song I think of him especially if that song is Sugar Marie. Rest in peace Lance and know I still love you my friend!
