One more real quick: When a customer brings back a mower for refund or exchange after they hit a fire hydrant with the blade and bend the crank, DON'T tell them it's warranty. Most (if not all) "warranty" reairs I do for you big box stores is customers fault. Try telling them to read their owners manual before using. Also, explain exactly what "warranty" means. It doesn't cover misuse. Only covers factory defects in material and workmanship. Not backing over a new weed trimmer with their car.

Also, people, don't buy any equipment from these stores. Once it goes out the door, your on your own. Lowes, WalMart, Home Depot, etc. could care less if you have any problems. They just sell, not repair. Buy the same equipment from a store that has a shop. You will get priority service during the busy season. I run a small shop that sells the same equipment. I see stuff come in my store from these stores w/engines locked up because they (big-box stores) forgot to put oil in the engine.

Hey, Mike: If you can show people how to change their oil, why can you guys service what you sell? I get dozens of people who buy from Lowes and I have to do the warranty work. (which is never warranty) Why not Lowes set up repair shops in each store and hire real mechanics and pay accordingly. Not put some zit-faced kid in the shop who came from the toilet seat department. To not service/repair what you sell just irks the shit out of me. Has to go to the competitor for work. Just wondering...

?? The guy explained it clearly that some mowers have a drain plug (2.05min). That doesn't mean all mowers do. Call a professional in case you do something stupid/dumb and try to pull the plug off while the lawn mower is still on and then cut your hand off.

@111alien111 The oil vacuum is optional. The oil can be drained by tipping the mower on its side and simply pouring out the oil. If you'd like to purchase an oil vacuum, try your local auto parts store. Thank you for watching the Lowe’s YouTube Channel. –Lowe’s
