I thought that I'd also give a written review on the movie as well just incase some people might not be satisfied with the video.

First things first, I really enjoyed this movie a lot and I recommend this movie to anyone who enjoys seeing bad guys getting what they deserve or seeing a lot of injustice getting taken care of.

The story revolves around the man Clyde Shelton, played by Gerard Butler who's family is killed after a couple of thugs break into his home. The lawyer in the movie, Nick Rice, played by Jamie Fox betrays Clyde by making a deal with one of the crooks. Seeing the injustice around him, Clyde takes matters into his own hands which leads do many deaths which leads him into prison. But, his quest for revenge and retribution continues even behind bars and it's up to Nick and other members of the task force to stop the killings.

The story maybe not that revolutionary but the movie still does a great job in entertaining and actually addresses the issue of the problems in the justice system. Throughout the movie it feels like a giant oxymoron, which feels intentional of course to show the values of people, the emphasis of right and wrong and what a man is willing to do with nothing left.

I enjoyed the actors who played their roles well. It's nice to see Gerard Butler killing again but in a more real scenario. Jamie Fox does a great job as the very proud and stubborn lawyer. And it's even nice to see Regina Hall in the movie as Jamie Fox's wife. If you don't know who she is, she plays as Brenda in the Scary Movie series. It's refreshing to see her in a serious movie.

Overall, this movie was great, I wasn't bored at all, action sequences were fun, deaths and killings were a feast for the eyes and if you got nothing better to do then you should at least give this movie a chance, I hope you won't be disappointed.

  • @mexiluvsw Thanks. I appreciate it.

  • Death Note reference is retarded. It's not like Death Note. They only things this movie has in common with Death Note is that they both talking about justice and both have a bad ending.

  • @princejeff So then, there's something in common then isn't it?

  • dude, this movie is my favorite, except for the ending. Is there any movie like this??? I FUCKING LOVE THis mOvIE AND I NEED TO WATCH SOMEthING LIKE IT!!!

  • i wish everyone died at the end!!!! the system is the villain in this one

  • See his family and he knew he had made nick a better person.

  • I dont agree with people that say the ending sucked. First of all, his main goal was not to just kill everyone, it was to teach the justice system, specifically nick, a lesson and to better them. He succeeded because he got through to nick who said he wouldnt make deals with murderers anymore. Also, for the people saying clyde shouldnt have died, he had no reason to live anymore and probably wouldnt have wanted to go on living any longer anyways. He was probably ready to die by that time and se

  • I don't understand why everyone hated the ending so much? He made his points... he showed that one man could destroy the entire law system! He needed to die in the end. The ending was amazing i loved it, it was so cleverly done. If he brought the system down what next? How would the film end? Him driving off in a sports car? The ending was perfect, end of.
