Here's a Mario Kart Wii video. I think that means I now have a video for each wi-fi game I haven't stopped playing for February 2011.

Race #1
DS Peach Gardens
Races on Peach Gardens normally go well for me, but this time, I got knocked around. Hey, this is Wario, not Waluigi Pinball! Even the Star I used in the final lap was not to improve my position, due to it ending simultaneously with another player's revolving Green Shells and a POW Block getting activated.

Race #2
SNES Ghost Valley 2
Wow, who knew a single wayward Banana would wreak so much havoc on my final standings?

Race #3
Koopa Cape
I was hit a lot less here, but I guess that's due to how the racers were further apart and there were fewer of them. There's this one racer you may have noticed has three question mark boxes for a name. The label is pink. (I thought it was Red at first, but I was mistaken.) Now, Blue = America (both), Red = Japan, Green = Europe, and Yellow = Australia. So what is pink? Is it mainland Asia? Is it Africa?

Battle #1
Coin Runners
Block Plaza
Hmm, it seems that I have a rival in this battle in Emily, who, looking at the end results, wound up at the top of her team with the same amount of Coins. Here's a match with real cooperation going on, every member of every team at least trying to contribute. There are still many Coin Runners matches going on where people don't bother to collect Coins and just hit other people. In other words, they think it's Balloon Battle.

More battles in the following video.

  • How exactly did you find out about what the color coded labels meant?

  • @PhilTheLaserTagFan I compared ther locations on the globe before I entered the room with the colors of the labels.

  • You know you can shake the wii remote when a pow is about to end.

  • @snivyfan I can tell you didn't read the description.

  • @luke45851 As a matter of fact, I started out using Manual drifting but found out I do much better with Automatic.

  • @marinaneon2 They do that a lot more clearly in Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing, when some items are obviously designed to be saved for later. The Shield item, for instance, blocks one item attack but only stays up for about 12 seconds. Yet I see people putting them up as soon as they get them. As soon as the shield goes down, I fire something at them.

Most commonly, I see racers just holding their items behind them in Mario Kart Wii, even Fake Item Boxes.

  • You know, I never even knew about the labels. The label looks more purple to me, but I too have no clue where the label color comes from. Maybe Singapore?

I noticed the way you use items is a bit unusual, but it sure is effective. Most of the racers I see will use their items almost immediately instead of devising a strategic method to use them.

  • Do you gaurd your banana behind your kart? You can do the same with shells!

  • That coinrunner battle was intense!
