FROM THE 1964 ALBUM "THE FIVE FACES OF MANFRED MANN".
LYRICS: She had a smile that won me
Oh into eyes that stunned me
The way she walked so switching
It made my hands start itching

Chorus :

She came walking by
She wants me to be her guy
She knows I'll never make her blue
˜Cause she knows I'll be true

Man, she looked so fine
I said she must be mine
The sweetest thing I've seen
Every inch of queen

Chorus

So now we walk together
That's how it is forever
She knows how much I love her
I'll never love another

Chorus

She treats me like she should
Oh she makes me feels so good

  • Not the same song called "She" that was done by the Monkees (and, around the same time, Del Shannon), and also not the same song called "She" that was done by Tommy James (around the time he split from the Shondells; don't recall if this one was with or without the Shondells). As I've noted before, one of my favorite trivia categories is different songs with the same title.

  • @rslitman - "She" was the final Billboard hit that Tommy had with the Shondells! He then went on to his solo career. Ron

  • I'm pretty sure that's "Winter eyes" and maybe also "swishing," though "switching" might be a variant.

  • @kootTube I don't know those songs, so I'll have to look for them. I know of several other instances, though, including "He Will Break Your Heart" by Jerry Butler and "He Don't Love You Like I Love You" by Tony Orlando and Dawn.

  • @rslitman Another nice trivia category is songs with different names that are really the same, Try Revenge by the Kinks and It Came from Pier 13 by, ta da, the Bomboras.

  • @rslitman There are about five songs called Wipeout, Wipe Out, or something Wipeout: W, by the Surfaris, W. by the Impacts (covered by the Original Surfaris - not the Surfaris), W. by the Nocturnes, Kalani W. by the Original Surfaris, and Waikiki W. by Jim Waller & the Deltas. As far as I know there are only two songs called Bombora (Atlantics and Original Surfaris) .

  • @kootTube I don't get your Wipeouts and Bomboras reference.

  • @rslitman Look into Wipeouts and Bomboras. :-)
