@sumplais I remember reading somewhere that Gilbert miscalculated because 1900 didn't have one either. So he should have been 21 in 1944. Of course it still all depends on when it actually takes place.

In the original opera, Fredrick isn't so "merciful." He's a little more "persuaded" by the Pirate King's and Ruth's guns. XD

If I've calculated correctly...Fredrick should be 38 today. ("in 1940 I of age shall be" (21)) 14 leapyears since then to year 2000 and 3 after (2000 didn't have one)
