That's about as fresh as ore gets..
Looks like it was right out of the oven with all that steam.

@TheMadNorsky..(My Guess)- The short wheel base would have 2 reasons,1- For the weight,each one of those cars carries about 50,000 pound or more each,longer cars could not carry the weight..2-Would be for the unloading area from train too ship or sylos into the ships the areas are about 1,000 plus foot long.
The closer the wheel base the stronger the train load.

A question, for anyone. Are those short wheel-base cars, such as these depicted here hauling the iron ore any less stable than the regular length railroad cars??? Or are they more stable because of the short wheel base??? Whatever, nice video!

@CPR1433 sweet!

@trainmaster55 It is fresh iron ore pellets that still haven't cooled down completely and the cool Minnesota air hits the heat and creates steam.
that is the first time i have seen a CN locomotive using its ditch lights, and nice catch man

@trainOholic Thats because technically it is a DMIR locomotive painted in CN colors. All the DMIR locomotives painted in CN colors have flashing ditch lights.
