This is my method that Eric from Tangiers taught me how to pack a phunnel bowl properly. My method is not the correct way or incorrect way. It is just how I was taught and what works for me.

  • Wow, can I have a few questions?

Every time, when I get tobacco near the foil like you, it burned in thirty minutes (it was in normal egyptian bowl).

I think, you don´t have the same problem, don´t you know why? I´m using very wet

Al Fakher tobacco with extra molasse.

One more question: how many coals are you using?

    Thank you very much!

  • @Hipox13 The cut on Al Fakher tobacco is more fine than the tobacco that I am using therefore it has more of a tendency to burn (I think that is the reason why). I'm not 100% sure what Eric of Tangiers does but this way is most effective for Tangiers Tobacco. If this were to be "fluffed" like in a traditional egyptian bowl, it would cause some problems. Same goes for if Al Fakher were to be packed like this in a phunnel bowl, it would have problems. About the coals, I use 4 japanese coals.
