Why weren't they able to use the genesis songs for the sega CD version? I really really loved that soundtrack....this one sounds more like a meditative mood CD....which isn't really how the game was, it was full of strange aliens and adrenaline pumping levels (skyway...tube of medusa) and I think the genesis captured that mood much better.

@Fall3nAngelz The Sega cd versions set the mood, but are no way catchy. That's how i feel about em.

Also for Sega Genesis, I believe The Tides of Time was probably one of the hardest sega games I've played and owned in my life.
Great game, but I raged so hard at how difficult some parts were. (Tubes of Medusa being an example)

what's not to like about this game..dolphins = sick, under water adventure = also sick, well composed music = awesome...the only thing that i didn't like about ecco was the fact he wasn't wearing any clothes i figure it's a sega game they gave sonic shoes...they gave knuckles shoes...i raise the question if ecco had feet would they have given him shoes?

Man you guys are freagin speed running this in hard mode?! Most impressive...
-
*one of the most difficult games (I forgot to put in "difficult" haha)

I found this game incredibly inspiring and artistic, but genuinely one of the most (if not the most) games I have ever played. I had it for Genesis, but I still loved the music. Really professional sounding and intelligent stuff.

Even though dolphins are lame, I've seen much less convincing water effects in many 3D games. This has some pretty impressive work in it.
The Sega CD version was the best if for no other reason than the amazing CG flashback scenes from the original game.
They sure don't make Ecco like they used to... =(
