Dodge 2500 Cummins, Nissan 350Z

My brother and I were going out to eat and I gave him my camera so he could video my new exhaust. We made a quick run up the mountain to see what it sounded like.

I stayed in 6th gear the entire time. My engine mods at this time are a Smarty set on SW3 (60hp, 150 ftlb), PSM Cool Hose intake, Quadzilla Boost fooler, Glacier GFS-392 fuel system and a Corsa exhaust. The Corsa is a great exhaust, absolutely NO drone! You can tell very little difference in the cab. Externally the Corsa exits at the stock location and is not very loud at all when cruising. The muffler is straight through with no perforations, only a couple of 1" wide slots at the front and back of the muffler. This is the exhaust Dodge should have used from the factory!

My brother was in his 350Z and stayed in 6th gear the entire time as well. He has an exhaust that sounds good but does drone at certain RPM. His car is an excellent runner and handles great! My truck handles like a truck! Nothing more than straight line acceleration for me.

@WaqasKhan778 It wasn't a race, like the description says he my brother was taking a video of my new exhaust. He was in 6th, holding a camera with one hand and steering with the other, not much room for shifting.

The 6.4 is a beast, especially if you remove the DPF and add a programmer.

Going up this same stretch the other day I beat the crap out of a RX8. Seriously It actually surprised me more than the guy. I was pulling away from him hard. When we started out the RX8 sounded like a pissed off sewing machine. I got about 6 lengths on him (and opening) then hit the brakes 3/4 the way up. He did his flyby and flipped me off. Bet he went home and beat his wife after that just so he could beat something!

@IamAtree000001 They're very cool cars, the Z in the video is an 07, my truck is an 07 too. We both got new rides within a few months of each other. I knew he would end up getting another Z sometime, when he sold the 350Z and got the Evo you could tell he really wasn't satisfied. The Evo was a fine car, handled great and was powerful, but he really liked the Z more. Once he gets it broken in and can really run it I'm sure I'll get a video up.

@IamAtree000001 Correct, this wasn't a race at all. I just wanted my brother to take a video of my exhaust. The original intent was for him to stay right beside me, however as you pointed out, he stayed in 6th. With him holding the camera he couldn't downshift and he did the best he could. Since then he's sold the 350Z, bought and sold an Evo X and just today bought a Nismo 370Z... IT is a beast!

@83dannyw They weren't even legitimately racing you idiot, it said they were in 6th the whole time. the 350z motor makes its power at high rpm, which is the opposite of a diesel, and seeing how they both would be in the low rpm range, it only makes sense the diesel would win. Common sense win.

2.0L 4g63 powered DSMs are putting down 1400+hp

5.9L cummins is a far superior motor to those oversize duramaxxes and powerjokes

there's no replacement for BOOST! especially when combined with diesel or e85

@2strokedetroit I'm just messing with you man, nothing wrong with your comment. Emissions laws suck. I'm not saying a truck should blow tons of black smoke, but when you're required to have equipment on a vehicle that reduces the mileage from over 20 mpg down to near 10 mpg, just for a minuscule reduction in emissions, you have a problem! Did you see where California found that their testing for diesel emissions was off by over 600%!!! They still are using the bad data to further their agenda!!

@taylortownmayor Sorry man. I didnt mean for it to be douchey, thanks for allowing it. I just like the 7.3 over all those others STOCK, modded I am a 6.4 guy. Take off the emission crap and your good to go. I also like the mechanical 5.9s, (12v). I regret posting that on a cummins video hahaha sorry man.
