Thousands of Vietnamese children have been helped by aid from Danish Vietnamese Association. What started with collection of used hospital equipment and money has continued with larger projects are funded by Danida -- Denmark's International Development Agency.
The aid is given through a large children's hospital in Ho Chi Minh City. It covers half of the city, and receives the most severe cases from the 31 provinces in southern Vietnam. The projects have been helping with the five most common sources of sickness and death in Vietnamese children. In the film we see education of mothers in a local village in Vinh Long province.
