  • Perhaps they were just lip syncing at the beach.

This group actually came and played at Glendora High School(Where I was going). Mark Volman totally upstaged the others. They knew how to write powerful melodies. To this day, you will hear the song Happy Together in commercials, so Bonner and Gordon are still making money.

  • Was this performance a special television appearance for them, or was this on a regular t.v. series? Does anybody know? Just curious.

  • I believe this was December 1966, just before they hit it huge with "Happy Together".

I'm wondering why Mark Volman is "playing" drums- was this before Johny Barbata joined the group?

Chip Douglas (on bass) was such a cutie!

  • Where's the rest of the drum kit? Lost in the sand dunes? or Tide came in and washed it away haha.

  • @poohmuffy14 hahahaha that fic

  • hahahah 1;34 mark volman with the drum hahaha is funny

  • I love the Turtles even more now, and I had just about every record they ever made even back then!! They are just the coolest, most fun guys and they make incredible music together.....I think their music had more sex appeal than anything they have out there nowadays and they didn't have to say one wrong thing to be that way...they just had 'it'. I've seen them 7 times and can't wait for the 8th. If you get a chance, go see them...they ROCK!!

  • Is that Pacific Ocean Park in the Background?

    Thank You

  • Until now, the only version of this song I ever heard was the remake by It's My Party. Shows you what I sheltered life I had in the '60s. : ((
