  • Be prepared in countries with a Latin background. It took me 9 months to change my Dutch EU driver's licence for a Portuguese one. I drove with a piece of paper from the police that I was allowed to drive. But not across the border. Which I did. After watching this video I went to the drivers licence office prepared. After threatening to complain in the Book of Complains, I was promised within 2 weeks. One week later I had it. Bureaucracy kills economy. Fire them, Civil Servants they ain't.

  • officialdom is the same in ALL the mediterranean countries, unfortunately - words aren't necessary in this video, it speaks for itself!

  • Man, if you change voices and put greek ones, i couldn't say the diference! :-)

Apart from τηε INSANE taxation we have here in Greece (~45% of a company's profits...), the UNBELIEVABLE BEAUROCRACY (with countless laws and need for insane number of licences even for the simplest thing...) is one of our "specialties"! :-)

  • No worse than here in the UK. I was unemployed recently and claiming benefit - every two weeks you have to sign about 10 different forms just to get a poxy £65 per week. Every Govt in Europe loves forms - Spain, UK, France, Germany - they are all the same - the more forms the better. And flip that girl is beautiful!!

  • @MOZAMUSIC2011 Non our army is not big enough. I do love the Portuguese and their way of live except the Civil Servants. But even they don't know the rules.

  • This is the old easy topic. Everyone in every developed country has good and bad experiences with administration. Blaming on civil servants is not fair, at least in Spain:

Spain spends less thant most European countries in public services and has fewer civil servants: E.g. France has around 140000 tax inspectors copared to 25000 in Spain: 6 times more with only 40% more population.

So, do not blame the people but the rulers of the system that want to thin the public services.

  • @Skelm49 - perhaps Holland might like to invade Portugal...? we do need a few changes here,

  • @dickthornton I woud like to know where are you from... If Spain is a crap, why it's the second country in the world in receiving toursist? And why most of northeuropean people dream to spend they last years of life in that country? I think you are just a jealous guy... @feradz I guess you are from USA, don't you? Because if I'm right... It's funny to see an american criticizing the Mexican system when yours is one of the most rotten of the world... How much ignorance in the wordl!

  • @Fierrel I would be horrified to imagine such situation.

  • @feradz you haven't met mexicans. Besides lazy and incompetent they're SO RUDE!

  • @feradz blablabbla topic, topic, topic...
