the thing is, when i step into the armory i can feel the history there (oldest barn in the world, if i am not mistaken), not to mention the need to brush championship banners out of the way so i can actually see the ice sheet. these kids are three sport athletes and know how to play hockey. those of you that cant recognize that are not true sport fans. by the way, MI has more nhl'ers than mn so yeah, not sure what else to say to a state that didnt even have an NHL team for more than a decade.

too bad its division 3...
-
its even more popular than texas and florida high school football..i've watched michigan high school hockey too and it just isn't at the same level as minnesota, even the good teams.
-
michigan may be good at hockey, but is not even in comparison with minnesota at the high school level. 60% of Division 1 college hockey are minnesota kids. 69 of the top 100 ranked high school hockey teams in the nation are from minnesota...the last time i checked there was honestly only 7 from michigan. a lot from new jersey and massachusetts. MN state tournament is the #1 high school tournament in america for all sports attendance wise, averaging over 19,000 per game during it

@patolem remember the world junior tournament last year?
-
wow u use tape for ur a's and c's thats pretty ghetto
-
remember when american high school hockeyy didnt matter because Canadians still blow you out of the water at all ages.
-
rofl, the state champ here doesn't even come close to filling a small arena, and Minnesota's state tourney sells out an NHL arena,
-
SLAPSHOT umm thats because minnesota dont have midget AAA and michigan does.

Nice run boys, I played for Marquette high and was just in Hougton for the old timers tourney. My favorite place to play was the Armory and 2nd best was and will always be the DEE! Preston Maki
