After Mirage 2000's, will Rafale be the next plane to secure our skies?

--UPDATE--
Rafale is now out of MRCA after failing technical evaluations.
Rafale was in race with planes like Gripen, F-16, F-18, Mig-35 and the Typhoon.
Rafale is the first to be eliminated.
MRCA is the largest defense procurement in the world which is to induct 126 planes.

  • of course, because it is close politicaly between india and usa/russia, dassault is not realy interessed by india market, but it wait the reject india for break down definitly partner ship and open the pakistan market for rafale, they are much more opportunity market. In clear the economic goal is not india but pakistan.

In fact rafale is better than F16IN and F18,

F18 cannot lock rafale, and f16I is 20% less performant than rafale. Potically that is an another story.

  • Rafale's to PAK would be a controversial deal. I wonder how US/India and Israel (all very close allies of France) would react to this deal.

  • @PassionateIndia

French has cancelled its deal with Pakistan over uncertain paki finance situation.. And technology going in wrong hands!! Plus Rafale is in the final two of MMRCA deal and French also offered trensfer of technology and 50-50 partnership in future

  • @satbirsinghrajpal I am aware of all of this. I follow defense quiet closely in fact. As the competition nears its ends... it simply boils down to who is offering what (TOT, Source code, etc). It would be easier to get Rafale in our system as the infrastructure for Mirage is already present. That said, I wouldn't mind getting 126 + 63 of either the Rafale or the Typhoon.

  • @ashish5165 if it was british or american you'd be rooting for them to buy it even if they'd have to increase starvation in india, don't be a fucking hypocrate, instead of blaming the national defense of a country blame aristocratical interests protected by the capitalist system!!!

  • Welcome to IAF rafale. U finally made it. Hope ur future will be as bright as the Mirage 2000 in the Indian air force. Days of Porki F16s r limited.

Imagine when Su 30 and rafales take to sky, porkis will be shitting in their pants.
