This is absolutely splendid, soulful playing. This is mature, beautiful music with no showboating, just devotion to the joyful spirit of the piece.

These sessions produced sooo much really tasty music. All hail the Transatlantics!

Beautiful music.

@fearghasmor Haha, I am fortunate enough not to live in suburbia. I live in the country in Maine.

@fangjangler Oh god contra dancing. I have nightmares of that from my only trip I've ever had to America... Enthusiastic american suburban mums can be quite scary when they get excited...

I find the interplay between the musicians almost as interesting as the music. When Jerry makes noise dragging his slider across the frets bluegrass style the accordion player looks at him as if he made a mistake, but then realizes it was intentional. The Americans Russ and Jerry have an interesting little competition going on where Jerry matches Russ' guitar note for note with his unwieldy contraption. Meanwhile Scottish fiddler Aly is stoic as usual, but plays like a master. Just priceless

Beautiful music, and they make it look almost effortless.
