Huge Listeroid Slow Speed Diesel Engine second start

Huge 3,4 Liter slow Speed Diesel Engine second test in the workshop. This engine is from TOPLAND in India and brandnew. As you can see, it is an further developement of a Lister engine.
The single cylinder engine has direct injection, 18 HP @ 750 RPM only.
Displacement 3,4 liters, 207 cubic inches.
Bore 155 mm, stroke 177.8 mm. Aluminium piston.
Weight 550 kg, 1212 lb.
Will drive 10 kW generator grid parallel and heat the workshop.
2nd test: we mounted the engine on a 21 mm steel plate. Weight of the plate 130 kg. Below two steel beams 160 mm, each 1,6 m long.
Engine has no problem to move the 800 kg total weight of the construction through the workshop.

the price from the import company in Germany via Hamburg harbour is 1500 Euro without tax. You get a 1250 lb engine for that.

Generators:

the engine delivers at the 2 1/2 inch crankshaft approx. 13 kW mechanical power.

Good for a 12 kVA (10 kW) synchronous generator or a 10 kW asynchronous generator.

That sounds like it is over speeding.

You should bolt it to the ground for safety too.

thats a big beast. What would that cost? Can you hook up any size generator to that? Thanks
