Transitions by Paul Saindon

Artguise Gallery is pleased to announce the opening of its first solo exhibit for the 2009 calendar year, with Transitions, new works by painter Paul Saindon. Paul's plein air series is a testament to the diverse scenery and changing seasons he observed touring North America to paint. Saindon realizes his dynamic compositions as sculptures of light, working in both acrylics and alkyd oils. These pieces achieve realistic impressions of radiant locations while being loose and airy in their execution.
Most of Paul's canvases are rendered on site, contending with the sky's changing light; fleetly painted with both brushes and fingers. The show of thirty works is a vastly impressive testament to the artist's passion for location painting. Join us opening night when Paul will be in attendance. All are welcome.
