Good video. I created a libertarian video that takes it even a little further. Libertarianism=minimal government, maximum personal freedom,non-interventionalism, non-aggression.
right to property ? voluntary interaction? - so half of the world working for less than 2$ a day 12 hours a day 6 days a week is just fine - because they define capital as thiers - most of which was bought with fiat money - its ahorrible failed system - when he says coersion he means the interferance of governmrment in mediate the brutal inequity of capitalism - he probaly would like to be rocjfe;;er and murder strikers or wouldnt care if children went back to work
I agree with all of your views (in this videdo) except for the right to property. Your body and your life are the only things you can rightfully 'own', in my opinion.
Love the idea of this video. But I was a teacher before I joined the LPC/OLP, so check your spelling of "coercion". Maybe in Manitoba its "coersion", but not the rest of Canada.
What if you got the minimal government that you want, and then you didn't want to pay taxes to fund it? Basically, that would be stealing the can of soup. Doesn't fairness have to be enFORCEd sometimes? Maybe you make an exception for coersion and force when it comes to protecting life, liberty, and property. But really, it's an oxymoron to enforce liberty. Therefor, liberty is not really what you're about.
I agree with you in that there is a place for government but the role it currently plays is far too overbearing onto individuals lives. However knowing how reform works in this country I have my doubts any of these philosophies will see the light of day. One example comes to mind of that being the Senate has been debated for reform for over a 100 years and that is one piece of the system. Imagine trying to change the whole thing...
Right on! Libertarianism is the future. The internet is libertarian because it is free. The "real world" is not libertarian because it is controlled. But the internet is powerful and slowly changing the real world.
