A tabo/Kabu(name depends on the Philippines region) is a small bucket, easily held with one hand. It usually has a long handle for easy grip. You'll see this in almost all filipino household in Philippines. Most homes in Philippines have no shower and must use a tabo/kabu to take a bath. Using a tabo, a person pours water all over their body. A waterfilled tabo was and still is an important item in a Filipino bathroom. Not only is it used to bath, but is a substitute for tissue paper.

Thank you. I'm going to visit my girl's family in Panabo and we'll be staying in Davao.

  • Haha...funny. I'm going to Philippines soon. I can't wait.

  • I wish someone would have told me about the tabo before I went and drank the water and had to use the public CR !!!! I won't even go into it :(
