@TheCreator316 honestly, wesker was overpowered in vanilla, but it wasnt at the "respect lost" level like it is in ultimate. ill wait and see what his new team is..

@TheCreator316 did he recently drop wolverine for wesker? ugh -_- if so, i've lost some respect for him...and agreed that akuma is one of the best anchors in the game, but again, he isn't easy to use like wesker is. if you make an akuma comeback, at least you worked for it somewhat. he's good, but not OP

@McCloudDash91 Yes actually Ive used Akuma ALOT on my main team by himself and I make alot of comebacks with him, yes hes not Wesker or Zero but hes one of the best anchors in the game because he has tools for almost any situation also Jwong has good fundamentals and went in the lab looking for ways to counter Sentinel and he dropped Wolverine FOR Wesker.

Viscant's MvC3 team was top tier, but if you look closely at most of his matches, he regularly took out one or more characters solely through tricky reset setups with Wesker and Haggar. The proficiency he displayed with that duo made his choice of Phoenix as anchor seem questionable at times.
The whole thing about the player being more important than tiers works the other way too--when it comes to evaluating players, don't just assume they are lacking because they use high tiers.

@misterbguy123 he might just like strider =p although, knowing viscant, it's probably because of that OP vadra assist with wesker's easy otg. also, those strider mixups are nigh unblockable online
