Wow! CBS 2 from L.A. in Vancouver! Did it occur in certain hours of the day back in the pre-digital '90s? I wonder you receive Toronto TV being in the same country? or from San Francisco & Chicago, if possible? Tell us more and keep posting any accidental DXing you came across. +

Lots of west to midwest USA TV on ch-3,4&5, usually during the summer season.

Only Canadian DX was from-

CKYB-TV ch-4 Brandon MB

I live about 200 miles south of Vancouver BC and KCBS-2 was a regular catch for me during the summer E-skip season as well. Not to mention the CHP transmissions as well from all over California.
