My comments re "frantic preparations," etc are in regard to Petersen's singing at the Met in "Hamlet." I certainly failed to make that clear!

After frantic preparations more or less at the last minute --going through the French libretto, stage rehearsals, music coaching, costume fittings -- Petersen sang this at the Met about two weeks ago and got great reviews. She had practically no advance notice that she would be needed and is a real trouper, as well as singer and actress.
