  • how can we be separated from god - I thought he was omnipresent?

  • @Hufflewaffle Great question. Sin causes a SPIRITUAL separation. Romans 6:23 reads: "For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord." We earn spiritual death and separation because of our rebellion, but Jesus loves us and offered Himself as a payment for our sins to bring us to God. He suffered the punishment of our sins in order to offer us the gift of His righteousness. If we accept and trust in Jesus, we become sinless in God's eyes.

  • @quattro610 he's not,he just punishes/trying those who do not believe in him so that the'll realize that he is God. Where they should put there trust not on graven images my friend.

  • @KillYourselfLaughing Yes, it's the blood of Jesus and His death on the cross that saves, but to get to that gift and to have access to that blood, according to scripture, one must be baptized. I don't like this video in that it leaves that out and therefore misleads people from what the scriptures teach.

  • @KillYourselfLaughing If you could show me in scripture where it says that baptism is a public declaration and that it doesn't wash away our sins, then I'd agree with you, but you won't be able to do that. In Acts 22:16 Paul was told to rise and be baptized "washing away your sins". In Acts 2:28 they were told be be baptized for the forgivness of their sins. And 1 Peter 3:21 says word for word "baptism now saves you." the Bible doesn't talk about the sinners prayer.....

  • @KillYourselfLaughing I'm sorry but how on earth does this make any sense? 'Omni' means ALL. If God "can not be in the presence of sin" then He cannot be OMNI-present! These are the kinds of bizarre contradictions and paradoxical ideas that stop people from taking christianity seriously.

  • @SagesOfSeraphim True the sinners prayer is only reliable wen faith is mixed into the batter or else its just empty words......words without actions is like a frog that cannot jump lol

  • @Hufflewaffle we are seperated from God in the way that SIN seperates us from Him. God can not be in the presence of sin and that is why Jesus died on the cross for us. God is OMNIpresent and he is always with us my friend

  • @SagesOfSeraphim Thanks for sharing and i agree with most of what youre saying but im saying it is a public decleration bc u are making it known to ur church congregation that u are being ressurected with Christ as you said. Baptism also is a represenatation of being filled with the Holy Spirit. plz reply its good to hav good healthy christian debates once in a while :D

  • @KillYourselfLaughing Well first the baptism represents death and resurrection. Being dipped in the water represents our death, out, our resurrection entering into a new life with Christ. Its not a public declaration. Statistics show most people view this prayer as fire insurance. Prayer helps us connect with God, but the sinners prayer does not save. Faith does and faith does not merely mean belief. Its transformation. Jesus doesnt say pray this prayer to anyone. People see it as fire insurance

  • So now that I said this prayer I am a believer in Christ nothing can separate me from Him. So I don't have to do anything about this. It's like fire insurance

  • @Watchthis4130 our sins were washed away once JESUS DIED ON THE CROSS FOR us baptism does not wash away our sins only Jesus does
