@althefunk Cheers for that mate , I did most the runs in the early to mid 80's and saw a few tear ups that one was amongst the worst . I just had another scooter hoping to take my son on some rallies next year . Glad all the rucks seem to have been left in the past .

Classic , if you go to Colwyn Bay and Rhos-On-Sea now ..... it hasn`t changed that much in appearance , just modernised slightly . I remember this .... I was about 11 at the time :¬)

I live in the bay now was in the A55 for the last few weeks then the ApeShit SC, then Llandudno and District SC,, had some
great times and some great friends.
Those were the days eh.?

This was the Gwrych Castle run, fantastic and scorching hot -I remember well cos my P2 ate its clutch big style on the campsite and I had to push it down to my aunts down in Abergele after the rally ended...no AA for me in those days!. My memory is a little hazy cos as a local run I was blitzed all weekend, but I think it was Secret Affair playing.

went to the 1981 colwyn bay rally ,with chester scooter club ,met up with some of the cloud 9 birkenhead lads ,had a great time

I remember this.
I was just a kid, (15) and it was like the biggest thing to happen in Colwyn Bay since Dinosaur World opened in Eirias Park.
Sad really how this dominated the conversation of a thousand Colwyn Bay schoolkids for a whole year after it happened, lol. Remember when The Warriors was shown TV and after that everywhere you went there were Warrior signs spray painted all over the place...
