  • Haha, My friend's mother (of asian decent) has slick pin straight hair.

She went and got a perm that took 7 hours.

Went home, let the chemicals set for two days as ordered, washed, and BAM

    Straight hair again. O_O

But anyway, I went to my local RiteAid and I saw a pack of soft rollers. I immediately thought of you haha!

Do you think I'll still get nice results if my hair is only slightly past APL?

:/ Hmmm I wanna know before I by the set haha

  • @Arallist When my hair was APL I set it in soft rollers a lot. I could never get it to lie right and I found that all the soft curls just looked nicer than whatever else I was trying to do with it. I recommend setting it when you've nowhere to go, so you can see how your hair takes to it...and then experimenting with how you roll it to find out what you like best. Besides, if you just do a little peacock twist with it, it'll be super cute with all the curls.

  • Where did you get your rollers?

Do you think this would work with rolling my hair while it is dry?

  • I got them at Wal-Mart or Sally's. I can't remember which, but most drug stores have them as well. They don't really work with dry hair. Hot rollers are made for dry, soft rollers are made for damp. :o)

  • So beautiful!

  • Oh my god your hair looks fantastic against that black shirt

  • @torrinpaige I'll have to try soft curlers next time. On the plus side, I did heidi braids for the first time and wore them to church. Got plenty of compliments on those. ^.^

  • @frodobaggins115 Rag curlers never work on mine either. The soft curlers have always been what works best for me. :o( I'm sad you didn't end up with awesome curls for church.

  • @frodobaggins115 looks like I need to try less sections. I did 4 on each side but with my fine hair it just didn't turn out curly. More like wavey but not even what I could achieve with 2 french braids.

  • My hair is up in rag curls at the moment.. hoping it will dry in time for church in the morning. Anyways, my hair is a little longer than bsl so we'll see how this turns out and just how much length it eats up.

  • Rapunzel? O.O

  • You are so beautiful! I have wanted long hair for a long time now (im 19) :( how long did it take for you to grow your hair that long? xx

  • OMG! I love your hair and your tutorials! When my hair will be more long (now are a little bit shot =(( ) I'll try this !!

This is my favourite hairstyle, Thank you!!

  • so beautiful
