C-17 Globemaster III Departure
60th Air Mobility Wing
2011 AirPower Over Hampton Roads
Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia
Friday May 13, 2011
This C-17, operated by the 60th Air Mobility Wing out of Travis AFB in California, departs from Runway 26 at the Langley AFB side of Joint Base Langley-Eustis a day following its arrival as a support aircraft for the Thunderbirds. The aircraft arrived on Thursday and departed on Friday using the callsign T-BIRD 14, which is the standard callsign for a Thunderbird support aircraft.
I apologize for the black or white blips in the video, as I have yet to figure out what causes it.
If you are interested in purchasing DVDs of specific aircraft and/or of airshows, interested in anything and everything related to airshows (where the jet teams will show up, all airshow performers, airshow reports from airshows I have attended, previews of airshows I will be attending, etc.), a much more easier to navigate "version" of all of my videos, and/or everything there is related to aviation - including spotting guides to my favorite airports and military bases and aircraft factfiles, please take the time to check out Steve's Airshow World at http://www.stevesairshow.com .
