Easy steps to put a Qwest Router into Bridge Mode. This will have it connect to a wireless network and "bridge" that network to its Ethernet ports and perform the function of a wireless bridge.

  • what username and password do you have to type ?

  • @turner2123 - By default, there should be no username or password on the device, unless someone else has placed his or her own admin password on the device.

The only way to remove an admin account without knowing the current password is by resetting the unit to the factory default settings by holding the Reset button on the back of the unit down for approx. 10 secs. This could obviously disrupt Internet services and other services already set up on the device.

    Hope this helps!

  • @zyxelusa Hello sorry for bothering but i have had a problem with my router on the past few months. When i type the default gateaway "192.168.1.1" I put the password and it just shows me only the status. But since im a gamer i need to port forward ports of the games so i can have a better experience.I have tried many ways to fix this but none of them help.By the way my router is a ZyXel P660HTW2 EE wich i think it is russian but the russian zyxel page wasn't very helpful.

  • @thebigenea We don’t carry this model device in the US. It sounds like you only have user level access, and you need to obtain the admin password from wherever you obtained it from. Sometimes ISPs lockdown the admin side of things so customers don’t try to change the settings.

  • will that work on other router types?

  • The steps will work on most Qwest routers. Our others routers have different web interfaces (and different menus and steps).

  • @Aaron1312 as of the beginning of my ISP's existence, they've never wanted / or been allowed to tell us (customers) how to set that. my ISP is T-com HR

  • @deejaydein As of a few weeks ago, I work with a company that deals with retards who don't know how to set that up. You're on your own or you can call me (TechSupport)
