Steer Dies, Rodeo Announcer Lies

Like all rodeos, the Pendleton Round-Up Rodeo brutalizes animals. Here a steer is killed, and the announcer lies to the people in the stands. It's despicable, but it's also a common practice. Rodeos deny the abuse, and deny the injuries and deaths. This announcer got caught.

It's worth mentioning that the East Oregonian, a local Pendleton newspaper that brownnosed the rodeo to an embarassing degree, has failed to cover any of the overwhelming abuses documented by SHARK investigators. Furthermore, the East Oregonian also provides a trophy for the animal abusers at the rodeo. So much for journalistic integrity at the East Oregonian.

your right real catteman dont have clocks and chutes but back then and still now they have competitions on there farms and ranchs to see who can get the job done faster thats how the whole rodeo got started cowboys would meet and see who could get the job done fastest this is not cruel this is a way of life for me and many other people around the world acccidents do happen sometimes you cant save the animal so you put it down rodeos are the same way accidents are just part of it

there is nothing wrong with steer roping its a part of the cowboy and the american way cowboys have been doing this for years now and the min. it rubs people wrong they make a fuss about it if you dont like it dont post videos of it and stay out of the rodeo thank you

@DBHorsemanship Real cattlemen don't release animals already in a chute just to chase them down to rope them with a clock ticking to get the best time to win a prize with complete disregard to the animal's health and welfare.

@SHARKonlineorg Sorry if it came across that I was trying to "dismiss" their suffering in no way, these animals defiantly suffered great pain. I was just trying to bring attention to a "sport" (actually no I take that back its not a sport at all not even in " " it is simply a insanely cruel act against bulls), it may seem mean when I say this but I am happy when I see the "Bullfighter" get hurt (not killed however).
