A mysterious island. An abandoned orphanage. And a strange collection of very curious photographs.

It all waits to be discovered in Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children, an unforgettable novel that mixes fiction and photography in a thrilling reading experience.

I love this book and this trailer, but I'm afraid I'll be disappointed with the movie. I know tim burton is amazing, but I hate when books are adapted to movies with no involvement from the author. The authors are the ones who envisioned it and created it. They know how the characters are supposed to be...not interperted to be. I really just dont want to be disappointed like I was with avatar: the last airbender.

at first i found the book traumatic (the pictures are really weird not to mention scary)..but as the story progress(when jacob was already in the island) i found the story quite engaging and the pictures didn't seemed scary anymore for there were explanations of it in the book....all in all, it's a good book for YA (i don't think 12 and below should read this yet)

can't wait for the movie (when i read it, i really knew it would be made into film)
