wow the ford looked and sounded the best

@jbrcar You amuse me. You respond to an 8 month old thread, and then accuse me of an obsession. Too much.

You again! This video really had an impact on your life didn't it? You watch it over and over again and just can't believe things aren't working out the way you like. Geeesshh. How sad to be you? Is there something fun and constructive you could do today to get your mind off that video?
Try Yoga....
and then watch the video again!!!! lmao

@jbrcar Your resort to ad hominem attack demonstrates that you have no rational defense of this video.
The phony here, as ever, is the video. It is sad that many of the people commenting here apparently lack the critical thinking skills to recognize the fallacy of a classic 'straw man attack'. Wikipedia has a good definition, and it fits so well that I'm surprised not to find a footnote linking back here.

You remain, as ever, phony.

@jbrcar I'm sorry you can't wrap your head around the fact that someone may be more qualified than you. Your appeal to ignorance is hilarious. Where, exactly, is the line that makes you 'too qualified' to comment on a video? If you are an engineer, you still have much to learn. I'm the son of an upholsterer, so shoot, you've got me there.

You questioned my credentials son, if you're unhappy with the answer, stop blowing smoke. And as for automotive electronics, yes, I have redesigned systems to correct EMC problems for several customers. Production in the millions I imagine; you may be using some of them.
As for this bogus video, you, nor anyone else have made substantive comments to counter my statements. The video remains, as ever, bogus.
the demonstration was to show, when sudden acceleration occurs the computer will not detect any errors. he was not trying to say the cars rewire themselves. toyota is twisting the main point. this was to discredit toyota's defense saying "we looked at our data recorder, we did not find anything wrong". because they wouldnt. you should put the truth in your video description. you are the one presenting biased. not abc.

@anthonyledo
Another nonsensical comment by somone with nothing to add to the debate. The Gilbert test was nonsense and proved nothing. Toyota showed that the test was nonsense and proved nothing. Please stay away from your computer.

We are biased against liars, ambulance chasers, and assholes. Oh yeah, and against morons who write stupid comments, particularly when they use cute abbreviations.

This entire demonstration is entirely disinguous; and the press are unqualified to ask the revealing quesitons. While Dr. Gilbert used the connector as a convienient access point, the EC Module is the most likely location for this fault to occur. Ask about surface contamination, conductive anodic filiments, and tin whiskers. Few engineers are trained to look for any of these types of failures. The ECM's are physically different between auto makers, so the demo is pointless.

@vcp2623 -Your criticism of this test is disingenuous and pointless. Toyota merely duplicated in open view a Rube Goldberg-esque test that was intended to convict Toyota. What Toyota successfully showed was that Sean Kane and his lap-dog Gilbert were off base.
