If violent hip-hop makes you go out and do violent things, then (by logic) positive hip-hop (Common, Talib, Lupe...etc) will make you do "good" things.
What Jamie presents is a stick-man argument (falls apart when put up against logic) . That's like saying a guy on steroids gets roid rage and beats his wife, when there is no scientific basis in roid rage. You were going to beat your wife anyway.
