Temporary Foreign Workers: Canadian Experience Class (Becoming Canadian)

Temporary foreign workers familiar with Canadian society, who can contribute to the Canadian economy and speak English or French may apply for permanent resident status under the Canadian Experience Class.

This is indeed a great program to help workers to stay in Canada. However, most employers, at least in Ontario, use this term "Canadian Experience" to diminish and put down the experience professionals bring from their home countries, which I consider strong way of discrimination.

Every time this one guy I know comes over to Canada the border denies him entry just because he USED to be a bounty hunter working with the law in the USA. Canada might want foreign workers but if the border gives them a hard time why would they bother??
