@TheChoice264 and secondly iv'e never heard of any one catching a stroke during a boxing match..mcclellen could have literally been watching t.v on his couch when that shit happend..lol your giving credit to nigel benn when he had nothing to do with it..benn was tough he was relentless but had absolutley no skill what so ever it woudnt take any one remarkably special to beat him even on his best day
-
@TheChoice264 im going to chalk this up to speculation i just cant see nigel benn beating roy jones jr in his prime..i think by far the best fighters out there where hopkins, toney, G-MAN and mike mccallum..roy fought three but mccallum was old as dirt by the time roy got him..i dont have alot of respect for european fighters because they never wanna leave there back yard to fight..especially back then nigel benn only had a handful of fights outside of europe i dont blame americans for not going
-
@TheChoice264 i just dont like the double standard..just about every fighter gets in the ring with washed up fighters or guys who didnt perform to the best of there capabilites on an off night! terry norris made a career out of beating up old ppl and some how he's viewed as an all time great! jones fought both hopkins and toney in just about the midway point in there careers (fight wise) these guys should have been ready to go..with all the shit toney talked b4 the fight roy embarassed his ass
-
@TheChoice264 toney was EXTREMELY undisciplined he's struggled with weight for the vast majority of his career..lmao the guy was still a fat ass even when he was on steroids! he's 5'10 on a tall day there is no way in hell he should be showing up to fights at 250lbs.mike mccallum was a great fighter easily 1 of the best if not the best fighter ever at 154lbs..i thought toney beat him twice either way you slice it hopkins and toney where the best of that crop of fighters and roy beat them both
-
@TheChoice264 man gerald mcclellen was beating the hell out of nigel been before he caught a blood clot in his brain!! i think that shit was a freak accident if that doesnt happen theres no way in hell nigel benn wins that fight! julian jackson was perhaps the most vicious puncher EVER! but mike mccallum and gerald mcclellen himself proved he was nothing more than a puncher!

Atleast Hamed had the decency to go away and never come back after HE got exposed for what he truely was.

When I watch a Roy Jones highlight video (for laughs) I feel like I'm watching a Naseem Hamed video. I mean, who are these guys he's fighting? And I notice many similarities in Jones and Hamed.

@youz1uglybish After what Benn did to McClellen, Jones said he'd never put himself in that situation. That's a fact but I dont care if you believe me. It'd be easier for you not to. Just look at who he fought. He didnt fight McClellen,Benn,Jackson,Watson,
Collins,Scully,Littles,Lyles,e tc. But they all fought each other and it was thrilling for the Europeans. Thanks Gerald McClellen atleast you had balls and represented. Jones...well...was Jones. -
@youz1uglybish Jones didnt fight ANYONE who posed a threat. Let me tell you something Jones and ALL boxing insiders knew and have known all along that was kept hush-hush, that you fans were kept in the dark about until it was finally exposed. Roy Jones could NEVER take a punch. Jones NEVER fought A.) A fighter who could punch. B.) A fighter who loved to brawl and war and didnt give a fuck. Jones avoided these men in his prime like it was AIDS.

@youz1uglybish Like I said, all those super-middles I named, along with Julian Jackson, were all more than C+ fighters. Regardless, let me tell you what they were that cannot be argued by anyone---THEY WERE THE BEST FIGHTERS IN HIS WEIGHTCLASS AND HIS ERA. But, more than that, THEY POSED THE MOST DANGER. Every one of those men were dangerous fighters----PERIOD. Man, wake up. It's like you guys are in denial when it comes to this motherfucker or something. WAKE UP.
You keep comparing Roy to God, yeah, I know he's good, but, guys, he ain't Roy. :D
