Introduction to the animated film the flight of dragons. A couple of voices are probably familiar- John Ritter and James Earl Jones. DO NOT ASK ME TO UPLOAD THE WHOLE MOVIE. The movie is a rankin/bass production based on two books.

  • Rankin/Bass had some excellent movies. However they really dropped the ball with their spin on LotR.

  • @EvilCleric yeah I heard that was bad. But I have the Hobbit on VHS and that one was good, I think. It has been a long time since I watched it.

  • this film is older than me lol

But my brother had it on video and I always loved it more that the stuff from the 90's it rocks!

  • its older than me too.

  • by the way, have you seen the last unicorn? It has the same producers and artists.

  • Flight of Dragons, The Last Unicorn, Watership Down.. spectacular and moving animation of the 80s. When can all these corporate bigwigs, Hollywood moguls figure this shit out??? Ahh yes, its just about money. No CGI, Hannah Montana, no Disney corp. relentless same cookie cutter crap that they put out will ever replace compelling, relevant story lines that have meaning and relevance. But yea, its just business and that what corporations do. CHILDREN OF THE 80,S FOREVER!

  • Oh, I absolutely love this movie.

  • @MegaSonic I remember seeing the hobbit when I was only 6 years old and I loved the frog scene. At first I thought it was a pokemon, but then I realized it was a frog. But it was a good film to watch and I still have, but no longer watch it.

  • Its older then me but this is still my childhood movie. Same with fox and the hound.

  • like on dvd not vhs- its very hard to find

  • Q: this is an older show yes? ive looked all over store websites and have not found one selling this version- if anyone can tell me of a store selling this "the flight of dragons" please tell me.

  • When girls wanted ponies, we wanted dragons.

  • I loved this and Last Unicorn. Rankin/Bass did some of the most memorable movies. It really helped that they tried their best to stay true to the author's original vision (especially in Last Unicorn's case where Peter S, Beagle actually wrote the screenplay). great stuff.

  • @sophieliz1990 amazon! That's where I got mine!

  • I am a child of 90's but i saw this film on a tv channel when i was 6-7 i think. I watched this film so many times, and now i listen again to this opening, it's an incredible feeling, can't exlplain it.

  • I love this movie but I do have a question. Is it possible to get it on DVD??????

  • @MegaSonic Singing Orcs...That's all I have to say on their LotRs version. However the Hobbit was an excellent movie. Hell, Gollum looks far freakier in that version than he did in Peter Jacksons version.
