Zay's Defense Grid: Last Stand Gold Medal w/ Commentary

The last of the first series of Defense Grid: The Awakening. I did this over and over until I got it under 10 minutes so I didn't have to put a split movie up. This is like my others with full commentary on what I'm building and upgrading and why. I also did not use a laser for this, you could upgrade less and probably use a laser at the end instead. It's a pretty straightforward gold medal. Side note, in case it wasn't obvious from the jerky mouse movements, this is on PC. I know that some xbox versions of maps don't work on PC, but this should work on PC and Xbox.

Thank you very much for this video. I looked at several others but yours made the most sense and was fun as well. I'm forever scarred about raspberries and to a lesser extent blueberries but otherwise enjoyed the game a great deal. Well not that last level until I got your help. Thanks again ! :)

@ClintokMeyer Glad that you liked it!  It's a fun level and once you get the hang of it. You can get a decent score if you play with the tower build order a little during the last 10-15 waves!

Thanks! I have a couple others for this that I've made and haven't bothered to upload yet as well as the challenge one. Wait, did I do the challenge? Hrmn. Well, that being said, go back to some of the early ones and see how far you can go with just 1 red gun tower. It's actually pretty amazing how much damage a couple of red guntowers and a red meteor tower can do! I'm happy this helped you out!

Upgraded the missile battery on turn 28 like 5 seconds too slow and three flyers made it through and sniped three of my cores, FUUUUUUU-

People following this can skip building more than one command tower as they don't stack (saving a small bit of resources). The only added benefit would be breaking any stealth but if you're going to keep them in a closely woven maze like that there's really little point unless your primary attack towers are completely missing them.
