Crater impact sites visited in Microsoft Flight Simulator, plus a few scenic locations along the way. Flown and video captured by my good friend Mark, who also chose the music and the satellite images as well as providing the text. I just glued 'em together!

  • i have fs9,how do you edit the film files to,do you need extra software to show this sort of film.great movie buy the way.

  • Thanks for comments, and Viper4054's help below. We used FRAPS for video capture on the PC, then exported the files to a Mac (iMac PowerPC G5) and edited the sequence using Final Cut Express HD (3.5.1). May be a bit of a long way round for most folks, but hope this helps!

  • what airplane is that? It's got a C-130J id number and looks like a C-17 with turbo props? I know the USCG has never had a bird like that..

  • All I know is that it's an Airbus A400M Airlifter (see credit roll). But I'll pass the question on to Mark (the pilot) who will know chapter and verse.

  • yes!! I had the same problem!! All u need to do is right click on the fsx icon on ure desktop, or wherever u click to launch fsx, and select "open as admin" or something like that and there u go!

  • For some odd reason, the game crashes everytime I select the aircraft. Does anyone know how I can get it to work. I reallllyyy want to fly this bird...

  • is the a400m really exist at the flight simulator 2004???

  • Open cargo door with CNTRL+E

  • I have it for fsx, but how do i open the rear cargo door?

  • I think that your framerate is very low. Or probably your ICU sucks. Go check ..

  • tried to download this, i might make a video of it...

  • Assuming your video card is up to scratch, your FS9.cfg settings can make quite a difference. Go to places like avsim to get optimal tips on texture sizes and visibility distances, they can avoid jerky or blurry texture loading. Some people report compressing the install directory can make a difference too.

  • my flight sim lags like a bitch. does anyone know why? and I know its not the cd or whatever because my friend used the same cd to install it on his notebook and it works better than my dell desktop.

  • SouthBridgeBand, thanks for commenting. The sim was FS2004, other details on the software used is at the end of the video.

Yikes, I feel really bad about getting the location wrong, I did all that research and then made a basic mistake like that !!
