  • FAO Capitalbhoy78, you have blocked me from replying to your post.

The words of Gerry Britton that played for Celtic that day ....

"It was one of the very few days I fell out with fans of the club I grew up loving," Britton says. "It was bad enough having to hear it, and hearing that a fruit shop near the ground sold out of bananas, but it was truly sickening when our job the day after the game was to clear them away. There were dozens of them, scattered everywhere."

  • I am not defending what happened here 22 years or so ago but to take lectures from Rangers fans on intolerance is so screwed up in so many levels...

'Go back tae Ireland ya fenian'

    'Unwashed tattie munching prick'

    'Blow up Lennon'

'I will refer to an incident that happened in the 1980s but I won't talk about our fans racially abusing our own player in the year 2009'

    The irony...

  • @CapitalBhoy78 Capital Bellend, which player was abused by the Rangers fans ? are you refering to Edu ? where he stated that he was racially abused by TWO guys after a midweek match, now firstly, they may well have been Rangers fans but to try and equate two clowns with hundreds perhaps thousands of Celtic fans throwing bananas at Mark Walters is simply bonkers. The Racist Celtic fan that was jailed for 3 months earlier this year, did you forget to mention him ? for Lennon see Novo !!!!!

  • @MrStruth " to try and equate two clowns with hundreds perhaps thousands of Celtic fans throwing bananas at Mark Walters is simply bonkers"

I'll tell you what's bonkers mate,. the rewriting of history to the extent that a handful of bananas eventually get's exaggerated to the become hundreds perhaps thousands.

The lowlifes who abused Mark Walters that day shamed the club I support, but let's not get hysterical about the amount. that did it.

Try to keep it at least verging on the accurate.

  • @SlickFunker Here we go again !!

Admit to me one thing, you were not at this game were you ?

There were so many Celtic fans that day with fruit its hard to estimate how many had banana's and how many threw them at Walters. The footage in the video in no way highlighted the extent of the abuse that day, the only telling comment was from Archie stating that the game had to be held up to clear the track of an assortment of fruit. google Gerry Britton- Mark Walters if you dont want to bellieve me.

  • @MrStruth Your claim that 'hundreds perhaps thousands of Celtic fans' threw bananas at Walters is absurd. Please show me where on this footage it proves that? There is nothing to suggest it was even more than half a dozen Celtic fans who did that awful thing and you miss the point completely if you actually compare what Neil has had to put up with over the past decade, compared to Novo, also no comment on your fans blatant anti catholic and Irish past and present Mr Struth?

  • Only an idiot would deny that there's such a thing as a racist Celtic supporter but Sanjeev Kohli thinks there are worse. He stopped supporting Rangers because of abuse of the self same Walters from his own fans if he had an off day. Everyone calls him a liar but noone offers any possible motive for why he would lie. Oh dear, Rangers supporters abusing their own players, but that could never happen.

  • How much longer do Celtic supporters have to carry the can for all the racial abuse Walters recieved for his entire career. Apparently the noise was deafening from start to finish. Funny that, the loudest crowd noise on the video is at 3.53 when Robrts tries to break Walker's legs. If the uploader has to qualify the video with caveats assuring that the abuse was far more widespread than it looked, then why present the video as evidence in the 1st place.

  • @WilliamRFC01, celtic dont sing songs about killing people, they just happen to sing some songs where occassionally the name IRA is mentioned. rangers however sing about being up to their necks in fenian blood no?, and lets not forget sending wanky little nail bombs made from fireworks to people

  • @ChiefDeviant, the fact that you care more about a black mans feelings than them children potentially having their lives ruined before it started makes a fuckin dickhead in my view

  • A lot these so called "Celtic fans" sing about the IRA killing innocent people, about their devotion to Ireland and how anti-British they are (when infact they are BRITISH)... And here you see many of them racially abusing an opposing player. This is the same club who harboured a paedophile. Just as contradicting as the Roman Catholic faith. If they don't like it here, they why not fuck off to Dublin?

  • bananas just in front of the jungle lol

  • It was my first time at the the bigot pit and the sight of grown men walking past with brown paper bags filled with bananas and inflatable bananas is what nailed my feelings towards Celtic Football Club to this day. I couldn't care less about their religion, their supposed nationality, even the harbouring of paedophiles within their sordid club that's their business. What Celtic Football Club and it's fans have is a hatred towards everybody that isn't, in Fergus McCann's words "Celtic minded"

  • @CapitalBhoy78 Why you even on this video?
