K.Andreyev (tenore).Born in Odessa, Ukraine in 1971, he studied at the Nejdanova Conservatory under the guidance of Maestro Nicolai Ogrenitch. After graduating with full marks, he started his career with the Odessa Opera, debuting in Rachmaninovs Aleko. From 1995 to1997, he worked as a soloist at the Moscow New Opera, where he made a debut in Donizettis Maria Stuarda (Leicester) in Moscow and later with companys tour in Munich. After winning Francisco Viñas" Competition in Barcelona, Konstantin went to continue his education in The Voice Academy in Cagli, Italy with Maestro Mario Melani.
He was the winner of several International Competitions: the Third Prize from the Bolshoi Theatre in Zimin Competition (1996); the First Prize for best interpretation of the Russian repertoire from the "Francisco Viñas" Competition in Barcelona (1997); the First Prize from the "Fundación Guerrero" Competition of Madrid (2000); the Third Prize in the Opera Competition and Special Prize in Zarzuela Competition from Plácido Domingo "Operalia" (2000); as well as, the First Prize from the "Maestro Alonso" Competition in Madrid (2001).
Konstantin had begun his international career with the role of Rodolfo in Luisa Miller in Montpellier, Frankfurt and Lausanne. Then, he sung as Vincent in Mireille production of Nice Opera, in Don Carlos in Klagenfurt, and took part in several concerts (singing, among others, Verdis Requiem). Invited by Placido Domingo, he had sung in Presidential Honors Gala in Washington (2000). Under the direction of Maestro Frubeck de Burgos with the National Orchestra of Spain he performed in several concerts dedicated to G. Verdi at the Auditorium Nacional de Música in Madrid. Other engagements included Faust in Melbourne, La Bohème at the Washington Opera (2002) and at the Opéra de Nancy (2003).
In addition, he made his debuts in Madam Butterfly at the Odessa Opera and in Novosibirsk Operas production of Aida (Radames) under direction of Maestro Theodore Kurentiz (2004). He performed with Spivacov Orchestra in Moscow in the concert dedicated to Maestro E. Kolobov and took part in Placido Domingos concert at the Moscows House of Music. Konstantin appeared in Wexford Festival production of J.B. Foersters Eva and debuted in the production of Stravinskys Les Noces with the Radio and Television of Spain (2004). Also, he took part in Gala concert at the Alborg Opera Festival and sung another solo concert in London with Robert Vignoles (2005).
His recent appearances include the title role of Werther in Turins Reggio Theater, and as Rodolfo in La Bohème in Novosibirsk and at the Puccini Festival in Torre del Lago (2005). Under the guidance of Maestro Daniele Callegari, Konstantin took part in the productions of I Cavalieri di Ekebù (Gösta Berling) at the Teatro Massimo Bellini in Catania and in Turandot (Calaf) at the Macerata Festival. Following were the interpretations of Adrian Shapochnikovs Le Jardin empoisonné in Paris with the orchestra of Radio France (conductor M.° Juraj Valcuha), Luisa Miller at the Opernhaus of Leipzig, and the role of Don Jose in Carmen at the Theatre of Bari (2006).
Konstantins future engagements include, among others, Thais (Nicias) in La Fenice Theater in Venice, Rachmaninovs Franceska da Rimini in Moscows Chaikovsky Concert Hall (2007) and the role of Prince in Dvorjaks Rusalka in Teatro dell Opera in Rome (2008).
