Growing up in Caribou from the days of the USO and the Victory Lounge until the early seventies, when I moved to Hanover, NH for more book-lurnin. Downtown Caribou was a fixed constellation of "Home" that remains in my heart & soul. I take a walking tour every few months via google with an ice cold glass of vodka and a slice of piping hot pepperoni pizza. There seems to be a lot of significant changes, I must do the real walk-about before I take my final dirt nap.

I was really mad when I heard that they were turning it into a parking lot.
It better not be still a big hole by the time I go back there to visit in June.
I sorta miss Caribou. Las Vegas isn't really the same.

Yea, it is sad that they tore down that building. It's too bad they couldn't do anything else with it.

It does look weird. There is a big empty hole. I don't think anyone realized how big that building was until they started tearing it down. I have a bunch of photos on my myspace as well.
