  • One of these dogs is now sleeping in my room :) She's the bicolor one, which is in the moment 0:44. These dogs are really intelligent but also stubborn:)

  • CUTE DO U SELL BASSET HOUND?

    nice video

  • @kennabanana thanks VERY MUCH but did it bark alot at night and during the day

  • @askme123789 Well, mine was a lemon basset, it took about a year. it was terrible@

  • One time my daughter wanted me to bring ours in for show & tell. I'm in a wheelchair but whatever my girl wants... well... Secured the leash to my chair, went inside and the office said over the intercom for her to come get him. When Bernie heard her voice he takes off in that direction. My chair was being pulled by one side, kind of a 45% angle. With those huge paws he pulled me bouncing down the hall. Greatest breed ever!!! He died at 14, sure miss that dog.

  • @askme123789 Not quite sure since I got mine from the pound already house trained, but he's a very fast learner and NEVER slips, even when we leave for hours at a time. Very intelligent dogs, shouldn't be a problem.

  • how long dose it take to house train

  • @lotsofsmarts You're absolutely spot on. We had several Bassets when I was kid. They were originally bred to be hunting dogs - once they got a scent, they won't let go. That's the root of their stubborness. That stubborness comes across as a lack of intelligence. My sister's Basset was really bright - it got to the point that we had to spell certain words out - nearly always involving food. C-H-E-E-S-E was a biggie. Lordy that dog loved cheese.

  • Basset's are known as "clowns". They are super smart but very focused. Some people same it is stubborn but the truth is that they were bred down from the Blood Hound and have the second best nose. Their nose is so sensitive and it walks them. Trainable... absolutely! They will do anything for food and I mean anything! Aside from their nose, their stomach is the way to their loyalty. Always loving, great with kids, lazy in the house, but full of energy outside. Bred to hunt bunnies!

  • So... much... skin!
