Master of the West : Barry Long [Part 1 of 2]

How does Barry Long's spiritual knowledge differ from teachings of the Eastern Masters? What's the difference between the eastern and the western mind?

Australian teacher Barry Long in conversation with the Dutch psychiatrist and author Amrito (Jan Foudraine), recorded in The Hague 13 August 1993.

'I speak to the West. I am master of the West because I can answer any question regarding love, God, life, truth and death and actually define it in western terms so that it is in everybody's western experience. And I can then tell them how to reach that blessed place of the East, which is inside the psyche of everybody.'

Barry Long (1926-2003): Australian spiritual teacher. There are many published recordings of his talks (audio and video). Also public video events in several countries.

i have read stuff by many spiritual teachers or "masters", and listened to many more......they all have their good points, .........but ive never come across someone so free of bullshit, who talks only the truth itself

The third transformation confers the ability of the initiate, amongst others abilities, to alter time itself. As far as the forth transformation is concerned, one changes from a formula initiate to a spheric Master of the word. This 'word' has nothing to do with ordinary words, but is the type of 'spiritual' word God used in the beginning to create the universe.

So I think your definition and my definition of enlightenment are very different.

Hi Chuck, the definition of 'enlightenment' to me is when the aspiring initiate reaches the first 'transformation'. this is the so called 'second birth' of which many masters have spoken of. The result of this transformation is that ones power increases by 1000 fold and more. Although the initiate cannot speak words into being at this stage. That comes with the second transformation.

Trying too hard to convince us he is a master. Why he need to say he is enlightened? only ego need this.

Enlightenment means joy- full of light- light is truth, truth means pure joy, so that what Barry should be full of... does he look full of joy to you?
