@nostalgiahistoria67 I think the problem is that the American music has become too corporate. There's no soul or meaning behind it. I'll have to check out the bands you've mentioned, it gives me hope for American musicians. There are lots of bands in the underground scene that are great, but because of their content might never see success.

American music has fell way behind compared to bands like Hooverphonic, and I don't listen to much new music, but several fab American bands that I like that have been around for a couple of years are or fairly new are Beach House & Best Coast, and and the Australian band Tame Impala. None of these are anything like Hooverphonic, but awesome in their own way!
