http://www.myspace.com/sedulus Taking influence from bands such as Kyuss, Soundgarden, Helmet, and Tool, Sedulus play their own brand of dynamic heavy music, with dense riff-based grooves and sprawling swirling musical interludes. .. The Sedulus machine has evolved into a grooving beast, with live shows that never fail to impress. .. As always, the band is writing, rehearsing and gigging hard. They have played some great venues such as the Camden Barfly and the Meanfiddler (LA2) and the Camden Underworld. .. The band pride themselves on their dedication, friendship and hardwork. With this ethic and an explosive live show, the band aim to establish themselves as an act to remember both on record and live. Coming to a venue near you very soon! .. .. ..PRESS.. .. "Openers Sedulus are a band that have really crafted their own sound -- falling in somewhere between the psychedelic grooves of Slo-Burn and the progressive dynamics of Tool. Wasting no time at all they launch into their half hour sonic assault of gargantuan riffs, and command full attention of everyone in the room from the word go. In a genre perhaps swamped with Kyuss clones, it is remarkably refreshing to hear a band that have taken their influences and evolved them, rather than lazily nicking licks off Blues For The Red Sun and the Down's monstrous debut, Nola. .. The true moments of brilliance are when the band incorporate texture and soundscapes to their downtuned stoner blues, hinting at the progressive intelligence associated with bands like Mastodon and Isis whilst retaining their all important 'sludge-factor'. The two guitarists seem to almost telepathically interlink their way through the different layers that coat each song, over the solid foundations of a watertight rhythm section." .. Amit Sharma, Thrash Hits.com .. (Camden Underworld, 12th February 2010) .. .. "First up tonight was London based stoner doomsters Sedulus. Opener Dogfight clearly set out the band's stall, carrying Sabbath heavy riffs which crashed down into a tripped out low end groove. Frontman Will Wichanski's vocal was perfectly suited to ride on top of those gargantuan riffs, falling somewhere between the shoutier nature of Helmet's Page Hamilton and the (slightly) more melodic Ben Ward of Orange Goblin. .. Guitarist Richard Williams and Amit Patel looked half stoned, but more likely absorbed as their heads lulled around during a new song, which Wichanski couldn't remember the name of. Actually on asking him his title afterwards he told us we could call it what we like and Johan opted for Pink Elephant." .. Rockers Digest .. (Storm, Leicester Square, 4th September 2008) .. .. "A rare Monday night KBY finds Sedulus putting on an impressive performance, laying down some weighty stoner grooves that defy you to not nod your head in appreciation. The riffs are immense, the vocals powerful, and a few moments of spaced-out introspection only add to their appeal." .. Mike Kemp - Rock Sound Jan 2007 .. (Camden Barfly, 13th November 2006) .. .. "Headlining tonite, the Mighty Sedulus storm into action with their fat metal sound. The singers bass positively growls and thunders, and is the corner stone of the bands sound. Guitars provide a thick wall of chord work and riffs. Drums batter away but provide plenty of swishing swirling symbols. There's a gutsy, geared down groove to the songs, and this is one big down tuned assault of a set. The band can be thunderously heavy, and there are some nice thick guitar solos, while songs can take on a dark, menacing quality when the guys really mash things down. A brilliant bulldozer of a band." .. John Swaine - Neon Promotions .. (Hope & Anchor, 23rd May 2006)
