This is my Hybrid GAUI 330x quad with FPV. It started life as a standard GAUI 330x but hard landings broke the frames. After 2 frames, I decided to build my own from some spare stuff in the ol' shed..

The now bigger frame and plywood centre gives better options for mounting all the equipment. I know it looks crap, but I fly it from video goggles so never see it apart from changing batteries - where I try look away... lol

I hope you like the video, it was filmed near Preston Lancs and features some higher flying and fast low turns and some great views.

The quad features a long range system and is capable of flying for 3km. However, this site causes interference at more than 500m away so this is as best as it gets...

For the best advice and cheapest quads in the UK, see http://www.quadcopters.co.uk

  • Can you give the specs of the size of your mod (Frame) and motor distance? I was wondering how large a platform these motors can handle. I was thinking of moding my 330x but was unsure of how large a I could go without affecting performance in a negative way. Also, great flying. Really enjoyed the video. Thanks for any info you can add. One more question, How hard is it to learn ton fly FPV?
