@simrash20001 i guess your smarter then the guys at AEM that do all the research and development. There isnt a volant of air rushing through the engine bay either so pointing it towards the grill wouldn't do shit except put the filter closer to the burning ass header. Great idea.

On the AEM webstie they say its only for the 2006 models

thats a poorly designed intake.... the heat shield isn't blocking the engines heat and the intake should be pointing towards the grill for higher air flow especially since its considered a ram air intake. at least it looks good
