The drum and bass lines are quite respectable as well. Job well done. Keep up the great work!

Sounds just like Frank!
Awesome, man!
Very interested in how you get that tone.
I've been trying to decode Frank's tone for decades...

jazz fusion rock, its cool, dont hear marino in there, your good, way to go,youve got talent, your land of a thousand nights is good, dont take this in a bad way because this is my opinion,i think you should steer away from effects and find a cleaner sound with more punch, tubes preferrably,as you know marino uses single coils on his SG,and his sound is pure, sometimes more is not better its just more...

Good playing ,overdone effects
Really great Greg. Frank was a big influence on me as well. It's refreshing to see guys carrying on the tradition of real kickass rock guitar! Incidentally, I had a Line 6 and couldn't stand it. Yours sounds great!

@61SG Thanks so much for your inspiring words. I so rarely come to YouTube that I hadn't seen any comments left on this video. "frank"ly, I'm surprised anyone has watched it...it's pretty boring. I should "strip" it down to the center section where I start to get a little warmed up. I no longer use my Line 6 Vetta II. I now use either Line 6 Pod Farm 2 Platinum modeling software or my Line 6 POD X3 Live recording. Always use X3 Live on Stage. I go into an ART Tube Pre right out of the guitar

I've always thought Marino was tedious, but I also knew many people who liked him. In my opinion, while I can definitely hear the influence, this is far more well rounded compositionally and the playing overall more elegant than ANYTHING I've heard Frank do. I gave this five stars and put it into my favorites. Thanks for the details of your gear. Not enough You Tube players do that..
You also got a tremendous sound overall. It may be the best I've ever heard anyone get out of a Line6 amp.

Hi and thank you for taking the time to view this video
I was a tube man for years. But in 2001 I came across the Vetta and it offered SO MUCH in one easy -to-set-up amp for live use. Then I discovered that it is also great for recording with...IF YOU TWEAK IT. Out of the box, the presets suck (Sorry Line6, it's true).
The POTENTIAL is there, but not until Ver. 2 of the software was released several years ago. The Stomp box FX's upfront, routable into each of 2 independent amps is the key.

7:53 mins of pure indulgence..... on my part!
I didn't dare take my eyes off this!!!!!!!
How do you reckon you're gonna cope with the stardom when it (rightfully) comes?
Fantastic, Greg!

Thank you so much but I'll not be holding my breath for any big changes to come along anytime soon :-) I've been playing like this for a LONG time and I'm really just another guitar player sharing what I've picked up along the way. I'd love to play for audiences wanting to hear my stuff but that's just not going to happen. And that's OK. I love playing in THE OATH here in Upstate South Carolina. It's fun. Maybe someday we'll add one of my songs just for laughs.
