@serpent7700 Rightly put. And for a true soldier like Sam Bahadur, it cant be more true. Born out of one of the smallest religious groups in India (Parsi). He is and will remain to be one of greatest sons of this land.

My mistake Sam Manekshaw was appointed field marshal in 1973 Cariappa in 1986 and Marshal of the Air Force Arjan Singh in 2002
Sam Manekshaw was the second Field Marshal in Indian History the fist one was
Kodandera "Kipper" Madappa Cariappa who was Indian Army Chief of Staff during the Kashmir War of 1947-48

The Government of India conferred the rank of Field Marshal on K. M. Cariappa in 1983 while, the first officer to be appointed to this rank was then Chief of Army Staff Gen. Sam Manekshaw in 1973.

I would say a great man who helped Bangladesh to be free of Pakistani atrocities in the then East Pakistan now Bangladesh. Pakistani Army raped and killed millions of Bangladeshis women children and innocent people. It was an important move from Sam to help Bangladesh freedom movement..

Mr. ShivKumar may I say you are being cruel to the Pakis..
Soon INTERNET and all symbols of modern world are going to say goodbye from Pakistan, don't you think we should let them enjoy these tiny exploits for these last days? After all they need to feel a little bit charged up before they jump in the firey pit
Have a lil RESPECT too, do you have any idea they are going to be remembered as THE generation that saw the internet., a big deal. I can only imagine how PROUD they would feel....wow!!

I would say that you have a very interesting analysis. Considering the present structure of Pakistan, your statement has a fair amount of weight in it.
However the statement of cruelty is not a fair analysis. What you are terming as cruel is an awareness guided by a motive to protect one's nation from extremism and external propaganda. It is very important for them to get their acts together.
