I can so you can not directly say that it has in Australia years ago, when the first white settlers there were, as they have for long distances several trailers always connected, and this is remained so until today, but only in bestimmtel share, in the east you'll see these mega-trucks can not .. Hope you could help a little with it!

@bestamerica ...we have no vast outback. Imagine heavy Sydney traffic all the way to Perth. Why would you need roadtrains then?

in america have some big freeways / highways and can do that with 3 to 6 trailers of one truck

@bestamerica you don't see this in America due to traffic mainly. there are more people in the state of Texas than there are in the whole country of Australia. our road systems are much more crowded with larger numbers of people, cars and trucks so there simply isnt room. also our "more advanced" road system doesnt allow these kinds of truck due to the cement medians and railings. these trucks run in more remote and rural areas.

AMerica restricts the trains because of the weight, single trailers with dual axles only weigh a max gross weight of 80,000 lbs, they do not want heavy trucks on the interstate to wear and tear the inferstucture down faster then designed, thats why
